Case Studies — Third Wave Technology Services

"As a Speakeasy Partner, we're making revenue we never would have realized in the past. And being able to provide the Hosted Voice solution keeps other vendors away from our clients. We have to be able to handle anything that resides on a network. If we can't, it creates vulnerability."

Overview
- Partnering with Speakeasy
Third Wave came to Speakeasy based on a recommendation from one of their partner companies. They were on a quest to find a new VoIP partner after a terrible experience with an LA based provider. "The Speakeasy solution was right in line with what we needed," says Craig Irwin, Director of Information Technology and Consulting Services. - Value to Consultants
With a well-defined partner channel and a reliable feature-rich voice product, Speakeasy makes it easy for Third Wave to focus on their customers.
"What we've found is that a lot of people are overwhelmed when you put a new phone in front of them," Irwin explains. "So we teach them the basic fundamentals, and then we give them a week or two before doing an advanced training and showing them all the VoIP features. If we did it all at the same time, they'd forget. So we end up with more revenue. Management sees the value. It's not just one person in the one cubicle showing the next how to do it."
- Value to Clients
"Many of our clients have old phone systems. They're tired of having to call someone out for physical rewiring to do a simple move, add or change. They want to know what's a better solution, and they see more people adopting VoIP," says Irwin.
Once the initial interest is there, Third Wave closes the deal by educating clients on the benefits Speakeasy Hosted Voice offers for their particular business. "Compared to a traditional PBX, there are aspects you just can't beat given the price point," says Irwin. "The ease of moves/adds/changes, the failover redundancy, the ability to dynamically create call flows that meet exactly what they want to do. People love the Voice Toolbar because it's so intuitive and easy for them to use. They like being able to highlight phone numbers in their Outlook® contacts or in a website and one-click dial. Remote office is also a big hit, especially here in LA where a lot of people work from home because of the traffic."
