With most types of connectivity, Speakeasy utilizes G.729 as the primary voice codec. This codec allows for a significant reduction in bandwidth usage per call compared to channelized PRIs or G.711, which is common with other integrated access providers. G.729 delivers more available bandwidth for data usage and allows your business to support your voice and data needs with fewer bandwidth circuits and, therefore, lower costs.
Dynamic bandwidth allocation gives you bandwidth on demand. Speakeasy automatically adjusts the amount of bandwidth dedicated to voice and data in real time. When the phones are idle, you can access the full bandwidth for data. As you make or receive calls, your bandwidth is reallocated to voice services for as long as your users are on the phone.
